... Read moreTet, or Vietnamese Lunar New Year, is not just any celebration—it's a heartfelt reunion filled with rich traditions and cultural pride. One of the highlights of Tet is the wearing of the áo dài, the elegant Vietnamese dress that symbolizes grace and heritage. Wearing an áo dài during Tet makes the festivities feel even more special and authentic. Another beloved tradition is gifting red envelopes, known as "lì xì," which are filled with lucky money and given to children and younger family members. These envelopes represent good wishes and blessings for the new year, embodying the spirit of generosity and hope. For me, Tet is also a time to reconnect with family and friends, enjoying special home-cooked meals and sharing stories from the past year. The atmosphere during Tet often "hits different," as one could say—there’s an indescribable warmth and joy, especially when wearing traditional clothing like the áo dài at home or community gatherings. Celebrating Tet is a beautiful way to honor Vietnamese culture and welcome the new year with positivity and gratitude. Whether it's the sound of traditional music, the vibrant decorations, or simply the sense of togetherness, Tet always leaves a lasting impression and a renewed sense of hope for the year ahead.
