Today is SUDEP Action Day.

As someone living with epilepsy, I want to help spread awareness about something that’s rarely talked about but needs to be.

SUDEP stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. It’s when someone with epilepsy passes away suddenly, often during or after a seizure, with no clear cause.

It’s rare, but it’s real and the more we talk about it, the more lives we can protect.

I’m not sharing this to scare anyone I’m sharing it because awareness is action.

If you love someone with epilepsy, please take a few minutes today to learn seizure first aid, check in on them, and remind them they’re not alone.

For all of us still fighting.
