People often ask if my anti seizure medications stop my non epileptic seizures and the answer is no. Anti seizure medications only work for epileptic seizures, which are caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

Non epileptic seizures (also known as PNES) aren’t triggered by that same brain activity, so seizure meds don’t help. They’re managed differently, usually through therapy and identifying emotional or physical triggers. 💜
