Finding my boyfriend’s Christmas present | Part 1 🎄

Quick context because I know some of y’all will ask:

All of this is coming from my own money. As a stay at home mom, I’ve been doing side hustles and little jobs to afford his gifts because I personally don’t like using his money to buy his presents. That’s just how I am.

This year we’re doing a dynamic gifting thing:

• something in our favorite color

• something we can use every day

• something that reminds us of each other

• something comfy/cozy

For this first trip, I went to Marshall’s with one mission… and I actually found it 😌

I found a cologne that smells so good and would smell amazing on him, so that’s officially his “everyday use” gift.

Did I also leave with lashes for myself and dog treats? Yes.

Do I now realize I bought more stuff for the dogs than for Adriam? Also yes.

That honestly checks out, they’re my second children.

Also got approved for the Marshall’s card, BUT before anyone panics: I’m being very intentional. I hate debt, I’m almost done paying off my current one, and I won’t be using any credit unless I already have the money to pay it off immediately. Peace of mind > everything.

Anyways, this is part 1.

More gift hunting coming soon 🎁✨

... Read moreGift-giving during the holidays can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you want every present to be meaningful yet affordable. For those navigating the thoughtful world of Christmas shopping, especially for significant others, adopting a strategy like choosing gifts that fit into categories such as favorite colors, everyday usage, sentimental value, and comfort can make the process more manageable and memorable. Shopping at stores like Marshall’s offers a wonderful opportunity to find unique and quality items without breaking the bank. It's a treasure hunt where you might discover everything from a signature cologne that becomes an everyday staple to cozy apparel that adds comfort during colder months. Adding personal touches, like gifts that remind you of each other, strengthens the emotional connection between partners. Managing your budget mindfully is equally important during the festive season. Utilizing store credit cards responsibly, only when you plan to pay off the balance immediately, helps avoid debt and keeps your financial peace intact. Side hustles or small jobs can provide that extra income needed to contribute to gift-giving without dipping into your or your partner’s main finances. It’s also common during gift shopping to end up buying for everyone in your life, from pets to family members, because the holiday spirit encourages generosity. This authentic and relatable shopping experience reflects not only love for your partner but also a warm-hearted embrace of all those you cherish. Ultimately, the season is about connection, thoughtfulness, and creating joyful memories through gifts that reflect care and personal attention rather than their price tags. By planning gifts that your boyfriend can use every day and that hold sentimental value, you are sure to make the holidays extra special and meaningful.
