... Read moreHey everyone! I’m so excited to finally share a bit more about my latest art piece, which I've playfully titled 'Frog + Alien' after some initial concept sketches. When I started brainstorming for something truly unique, the phrase 'alien perempuan' kept popping into my head, and I found myself wondering, 'What would a truly original female alien look like, especially if I added a touch of the unexpected?' That's where the frog inspiration hopped in! I really wanted to create something that broke away from typical sci-fi depictions. Instead of sleek, humanoid figures, I envisioned an 'alien perempuan' that embraced more earthy, amphibian qualities, blending the mysterious allure of extraterrestrial life with the whimsical, often overlooked beauty of a frog. The texture, the eyes, even the posture of a frog just felt so right for conveying both vulnerability and an ancient, otherworldly wisdom. My process for this piece was honestly a bit 'unfiltered,' which I think really shines through. I started with a basic idea of merging these two distinct creatures, then just let my imagination run wild. There was a lot of sketching, trying out different color palettes, and experimenting with how to make the 'froggythings' elements feel organic to the alien form. It wasn't about perfection, but about capturing that initial spark of inspiration. I think the challenge was making it look harmonious rather than just two separate things mashed together. For those curious about the 'imstime' aspect – it’s really about capturing a moment, a glimpse into a creature that exists beyond our current understanding. I wanted it to feel like you just stumbled upon this 'alien perempuan' in her natural habitat, a fleeting observation that leaves you pondering. It’s less about a detailed narrative and more about evoking a feeling of wonder and slight mystique. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! What feelings does it bring up for you? Have you ever thought about interpreting 'alien perempuan' in a completely different way? For me, art is all about pushing boundaries and sharing these creative journeys. Sometimes the most interesting ideas come from the most unexpected combinations, and this 'Frog + Alien' piece truly embodies that spirit. Don't be shy – let me know what you see or feel when you look at it!
