Starting my trip to Mexico City, I was immediately struck by how vibrant and full of life the city is. Walking through the bustling streets gave me a real sense of the city's unique energy. One highlight was dining at La Pause, where the lush greenery around the restaurant made the meal extra special. The fresh, local flavors really stood out, and the atmosphere was so relaxing that it felt like a little oasis in the midst of the city. Visiting the Frida Kahlo Museum was truly inspiring. Seeing her artwork up close and learning about her family's story deepened my appreciation for Mexican art and culture. The museum is set in her childhood home, which adds a personal and authentic touch to the experience. It felt like a glimpse into the soul of one of Mexico’s most iconic artists. The energy at Estadio GNP seguros during the SOAD concert was electrifying! Being there with other fans, all singing along and enjoying the moment, was an unforgettable experience. It reminded me just how important live music is for bringing people together. To wrap up the day, I followed a local tradition and grabbed some fresas con crema at Viaducto Piedad. It’s amazing how such simple treats can create lasting memories. This tradition after concerts reflects the joyous and communal spirit of Mexico City that I fell in love with right away. Overall, day one was packed with walking, cultural immersion, great food, and live entertainment. If you're planning a trip to Mexico City, I highly recommend setting aside time for these experiences—they capture the heart and soul of this amazing city.
