On the Menu 🥩 Steak🤤

Ingredients:

Steak - filet, ribeye, top sirloin beef are amazing

Spinach

Cream cheese

Quesadilla cheese

Sourdough bread

Broccoli

Butter

Seasoning:

Salt , pepper, garlic powder, onion powder

How to season/cook:

Steak only use salt and pepper ! Sear it until you see a nice brown color usually on high/medium add a good 4 tbs of butter and turn it down to medium/low. Grab a spoon and start pouring it over your steak. Depending on how you like it we enjoy it medium-rare . So after searing I cooked it for about 2-3 minutes.

In the next pan add 2 tbs of butter on medium/low, and throw in your broccoli. After 2-3 minutes butter should be gone and you should have little crispy burnt bits. Add 2 tbs of butter and cover. Let it sit for another 2-3 minutes. Take out and salt to taste.

Lastly, in a pan add oil and drop your spinach. Once you have your spinach cooked season with garlic powder, onion powder. Drop in your warmed cream cheese and mix. As soon as you see it start to melt and combine add your quesadilla cheese just a handful. Salt to taste

Plated was steak, broccoli , and sourdough bread with creamy spinach spread on top with a cherry coke on the side 🫶🏼

Tip: if you have a large fat cap you can immediately sear it or just cut it off !

... Read moreWhen preparing a steak dinner like this, choosing the right cut of beef is essential—filet, ribeye, and top sirloin are great options that balance tenderness and flavor. I’ve found that keeping the seasoning simple with just salt and pepper lets the natural flavors shine, especially when you’re searing the steak over high to medium heat. Adding a generous amount of butter during cooking and basting the steak helps develop a rich, caramelized crust and keeps the meat juicy inside. For the broccoli, cooking it in butter on medium-low heat lets the vegetable get tender while achieving those crispy, slightly charred bits that add a wonderful texture contrast. Covering it for a few minutes steams the broccoli just right without losing the buttery flavor. The creamy spinach toast is a delicious twist on a simple side. Using warmed cream cheese mixed with sautéed spinach seasoned with garlic and onion powders creates a savory spread that pairs beautifully with sourdough bread. Adding quesadilla cheese just before serving gives it a nice melty texture and extra richness. A tip I’ve learned is to trim or sear off any large fat caps on the steak before starting; this helps prevent flare-ups from dripping fat and lets you control the fat content on your plate. Enjoying this meal with a classic cherry coke, as mentioned, is a nostalgic touch that complements the savory flavors perfectly. This recipe not only satisfies steak lovers but also brings vibrant vegetables and creamy textures to the table, making it a complete, well-rounded dinner option. Whether you’re cooking for yourself or preparing a special meal for family, these techniques will help you deliver a restaurant-quality steak dinner at home.
