Yesterday we celebrated Easter, the Resurrection of our Lord… but the beauty of it is that it doesn’t end there. We are now in Eastertide, a full season of joy in the Church that lasts for 50 days.
Eastertide is a time to truly sit with what the Resurrection means. Jesus conquered sin and death. The tomb is empty. Hope is alive. This is not just a single moment we acknowledge on Easter Sunday. It is something we are invited to live in, every single day.
During this season, the Church continues to rejoice. The readings remind us how Christ appeared to His disciples, how their fear turned into courage, and how everything changed because He lives. It is a time of renewal, of deeper faith, and of remembering that no matter what we face, God has already won the victory.
For me, after everything this past year has held, this season feels especially meaningful. It is a reminder that even through suffering, uncertainty, and waiting, there is always the promise of new life. God is always working, even when we cannot see it.
Eastertide leads us to Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit comes and sets hearts on fire. It is a journey from the empty tomb to a bold, living faith.
So if you’re still carrying something heavy, or searching for peace, stay in this season. Let the joy of the Resurrection sink in. Let it renew your heart.
He is risen. And because He lives, there is always hope. 🙏✨

... Read moreEastertide isn't just a liturgical season—it's a profound invitation to reflect deeply on the power of the Resurrection in our everyday lives. From my personal experience, embracing the spirit of Eastertide opens a path to sustained spiritual renewal rather than a fleeting holiday milestone. Each day within these 50 days serves as a reminder that the empty tomb symbolizes not only victory over death but also a call to live with hope and courage.
The scripture passage from Matthew 28:6, "He is risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay," beautifully encapsulates the essence of Eastertide. It challenges us to witness and embrace the reality of Christ's resurrection not only historically but as a present, transformative truth in our hearts.
During this season, I found it helpful to slow down and meditate on the appearances of Christ to His disciples. Their transition from fear to boldness reminds me that challenges and uncertainties do not have the final word. Just as the disciples were empowered, we too receive the promise of renewal and courage.
Eastertide culminates in Pentecost, a celebration of the Holy Spirit’s arrival. This next phase further energizes and fires our faith. Reflecting on Pentecost enriches the Eastertide experience by encouraging us to welcome the Spirit’s guidance and strength in our lives.
In a world often shadowed by uncertainty, Eastertide is a season of living hope—an assurance that no matter what burdens we carry, there is renewal and victory ahead. It’s a personal and communal journey from the quiet wonder of the empty tomb to the vibrant, courageous life empowered by faith.
