🍬Runts Loaded Tea🍬
🍬Runts Loaded Tea🍬
🍊 1/2 pkt 4C Energy Rush Orange
🍒 1 pkt Cherry
🍇 1 pkt Grape
🍵 1/4 tsp Waka Green Tea
⚡️ 1/8 tsp Guarana powder
🪴 2oz Aloe Vera
🥤 This is for a 32oz cup
1.) At the bottom of your cup, add in the orange flavor, cherry flavor, tea, guarana powder and 6oz warm water. Stir to dissolve.
2.) Pack your cup with Ice.
3.) Pour the Aloe Vera over top to coat your ice.
4.) In a separate cup, dissolve the cherry flavor with about 8oz cold water then add it to your drink *Note, I did not measure the water but if needed, you can top off the cup with more water if measurements are off, it also depends on how much ice you add.
Stir to combine before drinking, the bottom layer will be a little bitter because of the tea and guarana powder.
Loaded teas are totally customizable to your liking and preferences.
If you don’t have Waka tea, use a tea packet of your choice. Keep in mind, Waka is unsweetened and 1/4 tsp is the serving size. If you are using a sweetened tea packet, you might have to add more water or half a tea packet, again it’s all about your preference.
The tea and 4C packet do contain caffeine, if you do not wish to add more caffeine, you can omit the guarana powder.
When I first heard about 'mega teas' or 'loaded teas,' I was intrigued. Everyone seemed to be raving about these colorful, energy-boosting drinks that tasted amazing and were packed with goodness. I used to spend a fortune at local nutrition clubs, but then I realized: why not make them myself at home? It's not only incredibly fun but also much more budget-friendly, and I get to control exactly what goes into my cup. For me, the biggest draw was the sustained energy without the jitters you sometimes get from coffee. But beyond that, I discovered these teas can be so much more! They're fantastic for staying hydrated, and with ingredients like aloe vera drink, they can even support gut health – a huge plus in my book. Plus, getting to experiment with different flavor combinations for healthy drinks is seriously addictive. The beauty of DIY mega teas is the endless customization. Take the Runts flavor, for example. It's a fantastic blend of fruity notes, but you can swap out drink mixes to create almost any flavor profile you can imagine. Want a more intense grape flavor? Maybe try a grape Nerds-inspired mix! Or perhaps a vibrant cherry drink mix for a sweet-tart kick. The 4C Energy Rush orange mix is a great base for citrusy blends, too. When it comes to the 'loaded' part, that's where the energy and health boosters come in. My go-to is usually a combination of Waka green tea powder and Nutricost guarana powder. Waka green tea provides a smooth, clean energy, and guarana adds that extra natural kick. If you're sensitive to caffeine, you can adjust the amounts or even opt for B-vitamin complexes instead. I always make sure to include some aloe vera drink for its soothing properties and gut benefits. Some people even add collagen peptides or fiber for an extra health boost. Don't be afraid to experiment with different brands for your ingredients. I’ve found that quality makes a difference, especially for the taste and solubility of the powders. Investing in good unsweetened tea powders and sugar-free drink mixes gives you the most control over the final product. Starting your mega tea journey might seem a little daunting with all the options, but trust me, it’s worth it. My advice for beginners is to start with a recipe you love (like this Runts one!) and then gradually swap out one ingredient at a time to see how it changes the flavor and effects. For instance, if you want to try a different fruit profile, just swap the cherry drink mix for another berry flavor. If you want more or less caffeine, adjust the Waka green tea powder or Nutricost guarana powder. The best part? You'll quickly discover your perfect blend that not only tastes amazing but also makes you feel great. It’s like being your own personal barista, but for healthy, energizing drinks! So, grab your shakers, get creative, and enjoy the delicious world of homemade mega teas!
