The blend of banana syrup and horchata syrup added directly to the espresso creates a sweet and creamy coffee base reminiscent of dessert flavors. Maple syrup incorporated both in the drink and cold foam adds a rich, autumnal touch that complements the cinnamon sugar garnish. Making your own banana and horchata syrups at home can elevate this recipe even further. For the banana syrup, I find that lightly mashed ripe bananas simmered with sugar and a splash of water create the perfect natural flavor. Horchata syrup can be made by infusing rice milk or almond milk with cinnamon and vanilla, reducing it with sugar until syrupy. These homemade syrups bring fresh, authentic ingredients right to your cup. The trick to the perfect frothy cold foam is to use heavy cream with a bit of maple syrup and cinnamon, frothed until light and airy. Pour it gently atop the iced latte for a luscious, creamy finish that delivers flavor with every sip. For serving, lining the glass with maple syrup and then sprinkling cinnamon sugar helps the garnish stick and adds visual appeal and bursts of sweetness with each sip. Filling the glass with ice keeps the drink cool and refreshing while balancing the intense espresso shots. This drink is perfect for those who enjoy layers of flavor combining fruity banana, warm spices, and rich maple notes — especially on chilly days or when you want a comforting iced coffee treat. It’s customizable too: you can try oat milk or almond milk as alternatives, or adjust syrup sweetness to your preference. Overall, this Banana Maple Churro Iced Latte offers a creative way to enjoy your coffee with a cozy twist of fall-inspired flavors right at home.
