Unos días de noviembre en México
Hey fellow travelers! So many of you asked me about packing for Mexico City in November after seeing my OOTDs, and I totally get it – the weather can be a bit tricky! Having just spent some incredible days there, including soaking in the vibrant Day of the Dead celebrations, I wanted to share my personal insights on what truly worked for my wardrobe. First off, November in Mexico City is generally gorgeous. Think mild, sunny days and cooler evenings. It's not usually rainy, but mornings can be crisp, and once the sun sets, you'll definitely feel a chill. This means layering is absolutely your best friend! I found myself constantly adding or shedding layers throughout the day. For daytime exploring, comfort is key. My go-to was always a versatile base. I practically lived in my light pants and a simple top. On a particularly sunlit street stroll, a white sweatshirt was perfect for those breezy moments, but easily removable when the sun was high. I saw so many people rocking stylish yet practical casual outfits – think comfortable jeans or breathable trousers, paired with t-shirts, light blouses, or even a chic sweater if you’re prone to feeling cold. When I visited the majestic Palacio de Bellas Artes, I was glad I had layers, as indoor temperatures can vary. Evenings are when you'll definitely want that extra layer. A light jacket, a denim jacket, or a cozy cardigan became essential for me, especially if I was out enjoying dinner or walking around a bustling public square to admire a Day of the Dead-themed mural. Don't underestimate how cool it can get once the sun dips below the horizon! Footwear is another crucial element. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, trust me! Comfortable sneakers or sturdy walking sandals (if it's a warmer day) are a must. I wore my favorite white trainers almost every day, and they were perfect for navigating both sidewalks and cobbled streets. Considering the time of year, you might encounter many incredible Day of the Dead altars and celebrations. While there's no strict dress code, I personally felt comfortable in respectful casual wear. I avoided anything too revealing, opting for outfits that blended in with the lively cultural atmosphere. It's less about strict modesty and more about being comfortable and appropriate for engaging with local customs. Don't forget the essentials: a small crossbody bag for your valuables, sunglasses for those bright sunny days, and definitely sunscreen – the altitude means the sun can be quite strong! So, to sum it up: pack layers, comfortable walking shoes, and a light jacket for evenings. Embrace the casual-chic vibe, and you'll be perfectly dressed to enjoy every moment of your November adventure in Mexico City, from its historic landmarks to its vibrant traditions!
