If I had to start over as an influencer...

No followers.

No experience.

No clue what I was doing.

That was me a few years ago.

If I had to start from scratch, here are the 3 things l'd do FIRST (and what I teach every woman I mentor now):

✨1. Get crystal clear on WHO you're talking to Not "moms" or "women."

The you from 6 months ago.

What was she struggling with? Exhaustion?

Money stress? Burnout? Weight? Which nails to pick? Outfit ideas? Motherhood? Depression?

Anxiety?

Talk to her every single time you post.

✨2. Start sharing VALUE, not perfection

You don't need pretty graphics or a curated life.

You need to help people.

Educate, encourage, entertain, or empathize.

That's what makes people trust you (and follow you).

✨ 3. Be consistent-even when it's awkward

The ones who grow aren't the ones who got it perfect.

It's the ones who kept going even when no one clapped.

Your story matters.

Your message matters.

And you do not have to be famous to make an impact (or make money).

You just have to start.

... Read moreStarting your influencer journey without any followers or experience can feel overwhelming, but focusing on clear, strategic steps can set you on the path to success. One key to effective influence is knowing exactly who you are speaking to—not just broad categories like "moms" or "women," but a deeply specific persona. Consider the struggles your ideal follower faces, such as exhaustion, money stress, or anxiety, and tailor your content to address these issues directly. This kind of empathy creates a stronger emotional connection and encourages engagement. Beyond targeting your audience, sharing value and authenticity is crucial. Rather than striving for perfection or polished aesthetics, focus on creating content that educates, entertains, encourages, or empathizes with your audience. Genuine, helpful content fosters trust and builds a loyal community that supports growth. Consistency is another pillar of influencer success. Regularly posting—even when engagement is low or the process feels awkward—establishes reliability and keeps your message visible. Many successful influencers emphasize that perseverance matters more than immediate perfection. The journey of becoming an influencer doesn’t require fame or a large initial following; it demands clarity, value, and consistency. By applying these principles, influencers can make meaningful impacts and create monetization opportunities. Tools such as content checklists and mentorship can further support steady progress. If you’re considering starting over as an influencer, keep these foundational tips in mind and focus on building authentic relationships with your audience. The phrase "THINGS I’D DO IF I WERE STARTING OVER Part 01. BECOMING AN INFLUENCER" highlights the importance of foundational steps for anyone rebooting their influencer efforts, emphasizing thoughtful planning and action.

Solid advice. Building an audience takes time and effort. I’m still figuring it out myself. 😅
