My heart was ripped from me
I love you Mema and Papa, so much! You guys were the rocks to the family. Mema, you’ve been gone since Nov 2006 and Papa, you just left us in Nov 2024. You guys will be with me everyday, watching over me, making sure I keep going. Rest in peace
Losing loved ones is one of life’s most challenging experiences. Grief can manifest in various ways, and it’s important to allow ourselves to feel this pain while also cherishing the memories they left behind. Mema and Papa were not just family members; they were the embodiment of love and support. For many, grandparents serve as the pillars in their lives, offering wisdom and unconditional love. Their absence creates a void that can be difficult to fill, yet their teachings and memories continue to shape who we are. Marking the anniversaries of their passing can be an opportune moment to celebrate their lives — remembering the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love given. It’s essential to create spaces where we can express our grief and remember them fondly, perhaps by sharing photos, cooking their favorite recipes, or even visiting places that remind us of them. As we navigate our sorrow, we can find comfort in knowing that love transcends even death. The bonds we share remain unbroken, and the impact our loved ones had on our lives continues to resonate. In this spirit, let us honor their memories through resilience and love. Although they are physically gone, they live on within us, guiding us through our journeys in life.
