McDonald's x Uno

apparently in Canada they get cool prizes in Happy Meals. lucky for me, we have eBay 😂

There are a total of 4 designs - Spy x Family, My Hero Academia, Naruto & Baruto. I didn't get the latter two because I never watched those and I have a weird thing where I don't buy merch from franchises I haven't seen UNLESS I plan to watch or play it.

Read moreAs a fan of both McDonald's nostalgic Happy Meal toys and classic card games, I was thrilled to hear about the UNO collaboration featuring beloved anime series like Spy x Family and My Hero Academia. It’s a unique way to blend popular culture with a family-friendly dining experience. From my experience, these limited-edition UNO cards bring an extra layer of fun to the traditional game. Each design showcases characters and themes from the anime, making gameplay more engaging for fans. Collectors are particularly excited by the well-crafted card art, which adds value beyond just playing the game. In Canada, Happy Meal collectors have been fortunate to receive these custom UNO sets as special prizes, which has increased demand and interest. For those outside Canada, platforms like eBay have become popular avenues to find and purchase these exclusive items. However, it’s worth noting that prices can vary widely due to collector demand. If you’re someone who enjoys anime and board/card games, this collaboration is a must-have. It also sparks curiosity in people unfamiliar with some of the franchises; for instance, I haven't watched Naruto or Boruto, so I personally skipped those editions. But the synergy between McDonald's toys and UNO as a classic game makes this collaboration appealing to many. Overall, this partnership demonstrates a clever marketing approach that leverages nostalgia and fandom culture to bring something unique to Happy Meal collectors and anime enthusiasts alike. It’s a perfect example of how limited-time promos can create memorable experiences and boost engagement with beloved brands and franchises.
