my experience

i personally wouldn’t visit nyc any time soon again just for the simple fact it didn’t wow me like i thought it would when i was a kid. there was trash piled up taller than i was, the air was very hard to breathe and it smelled horrible everywhere. granted this is in the summer time so the smell is worse, but its not hard to tell its very overpopulated. i’m shocked people actually want to live in the city these days. the view from the trash up though was amazing. and i’m glad i got to experience it either way. the 9/11 memorial was my favorite part of the trip. 🌃#nyc #new york #nycity #travel #vacation #rating #opinions #experience #explore

While the iconic sights draw millions, like the exhilarating views from the One World Observatory and the impactful 9/11 Memorial, experiences can vary drastically depending on the time of year and personal expectations. During summertime, the heat can amplify city odors, making certain neighborhoods less pleasant. Many tourists are taken aback by the juxtaposition of beauty and neglect, with views of skyscrapers often marred by litter strewn across sidewalks. However, it’s essential to recognize the vibrant culture, art, and cuisine that coexist with these challenges. The city offers an array of culinary experiences, from street food to high-end dining, with Eataly being a standout for Italian cuisine lovers. Moreover, engaging with locals can reveal a different side of NYC, showcasing its resilience and community spirit amidst urban struggles. If traveling to New York, be prepared for a whirlwind of experiences, and endeavor to appreciate both the glamorous and gritty aspects that define this remarkable city.
