gaming to heal my inner child 🗝️🌟

i started playing kingdom hearts 1 on playstation when i was about 8years old! back then, i didn’t understand much on how to play, im so happy that it’s available now on nintendo switch 🥺

now that i’m older, it hits different! i’m currently playing kingdom hearts 3 and i’m half way finished! if you like disney, especially early 2000s disney movies you’ll fall in love with this game

you’ll have sidekicks with you like simba, donald the duck, or woody from toy story etc. to fight off bad spirits that are trying to turn the world cold, they call them the “heartless”

such a good message being relayed while kids AND adults can have fun/relate to

... Read moreStepping back into the world of Kingdom Hearts always starts with that iconic title screen, doesn't it? For me, it's more than just a menu; it's a direct portal to my childhood. I remember the very first time I saw the Kingdom Hearts title screen on PlayStation, an 8-year-old completely captivated by Sora and the promise of adventure. Now, seeing the "Kingdom Hearts -The Story So Far- Cloud Version" title screen pop up on my Nintendo Switch, especially with custom joy-cons, brings back such a wave of early 2000s Disney nostalgia. The music, often a rendition of 'Dearly Beloved,' immediately sets a poignant and grand tone, preparing you for the epic journey ahead. You see Sora, perhaps standing pensively or ready for action, a stark contrast to the innocent wonder I felt as a kid. It’s a moment of reflection before diving back into the Heartless-infested worlds. This initial visual and auditory experience is crucial. It’s what primes you for the emotional highs and lows, the heartwarming reunions with characters like Winnie the Pooh, and the thrilling battles alongside Donald and Goofy. Now, playing Kingdom Hearts 3 and seeing its title screen, it hits different. The animation, the updated graphics – it all serves to enhance that foundational feeling the original title screen gave me years ago. Being able to experience this on the go with my Nintendo Switch is a game-changer. Whether I'm waiting for coffee or just unwinding at home, that title screen signals the start of another session of pure escapism and joy. It's not just about fighting off bad spirits; it's about reconnecting with those childhood movies, experiencing the story of friendship and light triumphing over darkness, and ultimately, healing that inner child through nostalgic gaming. Each time I boot up the game, that title screen reminds me why Kingdom Hearts has such a special place in my heart.
