cozy apps that are productive <3
sometimes i feel bad for how much i’m on my iPad but i realized if i balance fun, creativity, and productivity i don’t feel so bad about my screen time!
find a creativity app for you! i use procreate to doodle and goodnotes to doodle sometimes as well but more so for building dream boards, making flash cards for studying korean, and digital weekly planning 🙌🏽
i have a new reading goal of 10mins per day. my iPad makes reading fun and clutter free! i used to collect so many paper back books but i simply don’t have space anymore. i enjoy highlighting things in the book that are important to me too. when using the libby app, webtoon, and books app i can digitally highlight and bookmark. “books” and “libby” can be made into big widgets on your iPad layout along with a reminder of your reading goal that way it’s easily seen each time you open your phone or iPad!

You know that feeling, right? When you realize you've been staring at your iPad for hours and then a pang of guilt hits you? I've been there countless times, and the query 'stop looking at my iPad' resonates deeply with me! But what if we could transform that screen time into something genuinely enriching and guilt-free? That's exactly what I've been working on, turning my iPad into my ultimate 'cozy productivity' hub, just like the 'cozy edition' mentioned in the image. It's all about making your digital life serve you, rather than feeling like you're just passively consuming. It's not about ditching your iPad entirely, but about being intentional with every tap and swipe. For me, it starts with setting small, achievable goals. Instead of just picking up my iPad to mindlessly scroll, I'll consciously say, 'Okay, for the next 30 minutes, I'm going to work on my digital planner in Goodnotes,' or 'I'll read a chapter of my e-book on Libby.' This simple shift changes the whole dynamic. I’ve also found immense benefit in creating a 'digital reset' hour before bed, where I consciously avoid social media and instead read or journal in a calming app. This dedicated time ensures my iPad use is purposeful, helping me unwind rather than wind up. Speaking of Goodnotes, it's truly a game-changer for intentional screen time! Beyond just doodling or making flashcards for learning Korean, I've discovered so many other incredible ways to maximize its potential. For instance, I use it for daily journaling – a fantastic way to process thoughts and set intentions. You can find tons of free templates online for habit trackers, mood journals, or even budgeting planners. Don't be afraid to experiment with the different pen tools and paper types; it makes the experience feel as personalized as a physical notebook! The lasso tool is my absolute favorite for moving around elements, and don't forget the shape tool for creating perfect geometrical figures in your layouts. It's truly one of those 'creative apps' that helps you 'stay busy on your iPad' in the most productive and enjoyable way imaginable. I even import PDFs from my academic reading into Goodnotes to annotate, making study sessions much more efficient and engaging. Another trick for reclaiming your iPad time is to strategically place your productive apps. My 'reading apps now I use Libby, Webtoon, & Books' are always front and center on my home screen, often with widgets reminding me of my daily reading goals. This subtle visual nudge encourages me to pick up a digital book instead of instinctively opening a social app. Pairing these with my creative sessions in Procreate or planning in Goodnotes creates a balanced digital diet. It’s about building a routine where your iPad becomes a tool for growth and enjoyment, not just a source of distraction. Imagine using your iPad not just to consume, but to create, learn, and truly thrive – that’s the essence of embracing cozy productivity!
