-Poetry-who's to say that something as myself Just

1/10 Edited to

... Read morePoetry often serves as a bridge between seemingly opposing emotions, such as strength and vulnerability. In this piece, the author reflects on the paradox of being aggressive and rough, yet capable of nurturing something as delicate as poetry itself. From personal experience, I have found that poetry allows us to express the contradictions within ourselves — the bruises from life’s battles alongside the softness of human emotion. Embracing such complexity requires courage. Many of us hesitate to reveal our softer sides out of fear of being perceived as weak or damaged. However, poetry encourages us to confront these fears by giving form to our innermost feelings, creating a safe space for self-expression and healing. When we acknowledge the sensitivity beneath our toughness, we unlock new creative depths and a richer understanding of ourselves. I remember a time when I struggled to balance my outward resilience with inner fragility. Writing poetry helped me to release pent-up emotions and grasp the beauty in vulnerability. The metaphor of "countless broken bones" alongside "the lifestyle of a monster at my fingertips" resonates deeply — it symbolizes the scars we carry and the power we wield despite those scars. Ultimately, poetry teaches us that true strength includes accepting and expressing our sensitive parts, allowing us to connect more authentically with ourselves and others. This experience transforms poetry into a 'beautiful poem' within our own lives, not just words on a page but an expression of resilience, hope, and the human spirit’s tender side.
