Recipe:

🍓Vanilla Greek yogurt- The yogurt I used has 15 grams of protein but I know that there are yogurts out there that have higher protein in it if wanted for your protein goal!

🍓Sugar-free pudding mix: I was craving cheesecake and you can never go wrong with banana pudding 😎 but there’s many different combinations you can make with other pudding mixes! I used a little over a teaspoon of pudding mix and it came out perfectly.

🍓Fresh fruit: Makes for a really good contrast with the pudding as well as makes it taste really fresh!

🍓Optional toppings: I used whipped cream, but you can always use vanilla wafers, graham crackers, or chocolate chips. I may add vanilla wafers the next time I make it for the crunch factor 😋

... Read moreSince sharing my go-to Greek yogurt protein pudding, I've had so many friends ask for more tips, especially about making it even more versatile. I absolutely love how easy and satisfying this recipe is, and I’ve been experimenting with it quite a bit lately! One of the most common questions I get, and something I love trying myself, is how to make a *frozen protein pudding*. This is perfect for warmer days or when you just want a different texture! To turn this into a delicious frozen treat, simply prepare the pudding as usual. After mixing your vanilla Greek yogurt with the sugar-free pudding mix (like the Jell-O banana cream or cheesecake flavors I mentioned), you can either portion it into small airtight containers or even popsicle molds. I find that freezing it for about 2-3 hours gives it a wonderful, almost soft-serve consistency. If you freeze it solid overnight, let it thaw for 10-15 minutes before enjoying. The fresh fruit, especially strawberries or blueberries, holds up beautifully when frozen, adding a refreshing pop. Sometimes I’ll even blend the fruit right into the yogurt mixture before freezing for a smoother, fruit-infused frozen pudding. This is fantastic if you're looking for a frozen protein pudding option that's still packed with goodness! Speaking of Greek yogurt protein pudding, there are so many ways to customize the flavor beyond just vanilla. While I love the banana cream strawberry cheesecake pudding combo, don't be afraid to branch out! I've tried using sugar-free chocolate pudding mix with a hint of espresso powder – it tastes like a decadent mocha treat. Lemon pudding mix with some fresh lemon zest is incredibly refreshing. You can also play with the type of BLENDED GREEK NONFAT YOGURT. I usually opt for one with at least 15g of protein per serving, but there are brands with even higher protein counts if you’re really focusing on hitting those macros. This ensures your pudding is not just a tasty dessert, but a substantial, muscle-supporting snack. Sometimes people ask about protein pudding without yogurt because they might not be huge fans of the tanginess or are looking for dairy-free options. While my recipe centers around protein pudding made with greek yogurt because of its incredible protein content and creamy texture, you could adapt it by using a high-protein dairy-free yogurt alternative or even blending silken tofu with protein powder and a little milk/dairy-free milk for a similar consistency. However, for sheer ease and nutritional punch, Greek yogurt protein pudding is hard to beat. The specific yogurts I use often boast around 150 calories per serving, making it a truly guilt-free indulgence. And let's not forget toppings! While whipped cream is a classic, I've also experimented with a sprinkle of crushed vanilla wafers (for that extra crunch I mentioned!), a few dark chocolate shavings, or even a tablespoon of sugar-free caramel sauce. The contrast of textures and flavors truly elevates this simple recipe. Preparing a batch of these healthy dessert ideas protein pudding at the beginning of the week makes for such an easy grab-and-go snack or a satisfying end to any meal. Give these variations a try – you won't regret it!
