For example, clothing made from natural fibers like cotton or wool usually outlast synthetics and can be easily altered if needed. Don’t overlook household items such as kitchenware, books, and decorative pieces. These often come with a story and can add character to your space at a fraction of the cost of new items. It's also helpful to bring a small checklist or have an idea of what you need, which prevents impulse purchases and helps you stay focused. Another tip is to visit the thrift store regularly and at different times—new items come in frequently, and timing your visits right increases your chances of finding great deals. If you find something you like but it needs a little repair, remember that minor fixes can significantly enhance an item's usability and aesthetics.
