Shaping Chocolate Babka
I always love making my Babkas at work! It’s kinda tricky but this batch came out perfect 👌!! I was even told that a customer bought out the store this past weekend. I can barely braid my hair but I can braid some dough 😂!

Chocolate babka, a delightful twisted bread filled with rich chocolate, is a favorite dessert in many households. This Jewish pastry has gained popularity worldwide, often enjoyed during special occasions and holidays. Despite its complex appearance, making babka can be simplified with a few careful techniques. To start, the dough needs to be kneaded until soft and elastic, which provides the perfect texture. After allowing the dough to rise, it’s time to roll it out and spread the chocolate filling. Be sure to cover the surface evenly to ensure every slice is rich in flavor. Once rolled into a log, cutting and braiding the dough creates that signature look. Many bakers choose to use a traditional three-strand braid, but feel free to experiment with different braiding techniques for unique designs. Baking the babka at the right temperature is crucial to achieving that delightful crust while keeping the insides soft and gooey. After baking, let it cool slightly before slicing to avoid crumbling. Lastly, a light glaze can add extra sweetness and shine. Enjoy your homemade chocolate babka warm or at room temperature – it’s perfect for sharing with loved ones during special celebrations.

I would love to watch a video on how this is made. ❤️
