Cheesy Chicken Alfredo

Usually when I go to make Chicken Alfredo for dinner I pick up a jar of prego sauce. Today I decided I wanted to try and make my own sauce. I wish I tried this sooner because it was too good!

My family and I both enjoyed tonight’s new twist on one of our favorite foods!! I totally recommend giving this recipe a shot. ✨

Ingredients:

- 🐓 -

• 1lb Chicken Breast (Cut up)

• Drizzle of Olive Oil

• Seasonings: Montreal chicken, Tony’s Creole, Onion, and Paprika.

• Minced Garlic (Measure with ❤️)

- Noodles -

• 12oz Bowtie Pasta

• Sprinkle of Salt

- Sauce -

• 1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream

• 2 tbsp Butter

• Minced Garlic ❤️

• 4 oz Cream Cheese

• 7 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

• 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese

• Seasonings: Salt, Pepper, Italian

• Pasta Water (However thick/thin you want your sauce)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package directions. Drain well, then set aside.

2. While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and seasonings.

3. Cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.

Remove from the pan and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (30 seconds). Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Mix in cream cheese until smooth. Add mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Stir until creamy, using pasta water as needed to thin.

5. Toss bowtie pasta in the sauce until well coated. Return chicken to the skillet and stir gently. Plate and enjoy! 🍽️

... Read moreMaking Chicken Alfredo from scratch can truly transform a classic dish into something unforgettable. Many people rely on jarred sauces for convenience, but crafting your own sauce lets you control the flavor, creaminess, and texture. This homemade Alfredo sauce uses a rich combination of heavy whipping cream, butter, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses to create a luscious, velvety sauce that clings perfectly to the bowtie pasta. An extra touch that elevates this recipe is seasoning the chicken with flavorful spices like Montreal chicken seasoning and Tony’s Creole seasoning, which add a tasty kick and depth to the dish. Cooking the chicken separately until golden brown ensures it stays juicy and tender. Incorporating minced garlic both in the chicken and the sauce enhances the savory aroma and flavor. Using pasta water to adjust the thickness of the sauce is a simple but effective technique. The starch in the pasta water helps emulsify the sauce, making it silkier and easier to coat the noodles evenly. This tip is often used by professional chefs for pasta dishes requiring creamy sauces. Additionally, bowtie pasta (farfalle) is a great choice here because its shape holds the sauce nicely without overwhelming each bite. You can also experiment with penne or fettuccine depending on your preference. For anyone looking to customize this recipe, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach to incorporate vegetables and extra nutrients. Fresh herbs like parsley or basil sprinkled on top add color and freshness. Overall, preparing cheesy Chicken Alfredo at home is not only satisfying but also allows you to impress family and friends with a restaurant-quality meal that's easy enough for weeknight dinners. This recipe balances rich creaminess with flavorful spices for a comforting and delicious experience.
