📸 Photography 101 DAY 5 -Focus

Focus doesn't mean everything's clear.

Focus is to choose where to look.

Picture 1 - It's all clear.

(Picture of a yellow-clad woman in the city)

This is a picture where everything is clear.

Clear backdrop, clear people, clear sign, clear building

It's "right."

But the question is...

👀 Where will our eyes stop?

This is called No Visual Prime.

The beholder will keep flowing his eyes.

And then slide through.

Image 2 - Focus the eyes

(Portrate image with sharp eyes)

This is the basis of Portrait.

Eyes = Mood Welding Point

When we are clear in the eyes

Everything around will become a secondary scene.

The brain will lock immediately.

This is called Subject Isolation.

We can start "eye control."

Picture 3 - Wrong Focus (Clear Leaf, Blurred People)

(Sharp leaf image. Blurred woman)

Is this picture wrong?

Not guilty.

But...

It's miscommunicating.

Because people expect "people" to be heroes.

But we went clearly to the leaves

if intentionally done = art

If not intended = missed

🧠 Day 5 summary

Focus is not technical.

It's a decision.

You're telling people that

"This is the most important thing in the picture."

Unless you choose.

The image will have no power.

Focus is not contrast.

But it's a decision.

You've accidentally taken pictures that are all clear...

But is nothing important?

Comment to tell me

When you take Portrait, where do you focus first? 👁
