cute iOS lock screen widgets ✨

hi!! since you guys liked my last widget post, I'm back with some new widget recommendations! this time for your lock screen 😌

1. handy

handy has this awesome feature where you can upload your own widgets to install as lock screen widgets! I personally draw my own GIF widgets and install them using handy. you can also search for widgets on pinterest and upload those!

2. iScreen

I already recommended their distance widget in my last post, but I just wanted to mention that this widget also works on your lock screen! it's a great interactive widget for LDR's 💖 they also have a bunch of text and cute GIF widgets to choose from!

3. mico

mico is quite similar to iScreen: you can create your own wallpapers (the one shown in this post was also made using their template) and add cute text and GIF widgets! they have many seasonal widgets available, which makes customizing so much fun! 🎄✨

all of these apps are free to use with premium features. the GIF widgets of Handy are included in my winter wonderland icon theme ☃️

which widget would you use?

... Read moreSince you’re looking to make your iPhone lock screen truly yours and completely adorable, I wanted to share a few more tips and tricks I've picked up on my customization journey! It's not just about finding the right apps; it's about making your whole screen tell a story. Getting that cute aesthetic widget setup perfect takes a little thought, but it's so worth it. First off, let's talk about the actual process of adding these beautiful widgets. After you've designed your perfect widget in apps like Handy, iScreen, or Mico, here’s how to put them on your lock screen, ensuring your custom iPhone lock screen widgets aesthetic comes to life: Unlock Your iPhone: Don't swipe up, just unlock it to see your lock screen. Long Press: Press and hold anywhere on your lock screen. This will bring up the customization options. Customize: Tap "Customize" at the bottom of the screen. You'll see options for both the lock screen and home screen. Select "Lock Screen." Add Widgets: There will be a section labeled "Add Widgets" or a plus (+) icon. Tap it. Select Your App: Scroll through the list of apps until you find Handy, iScreen, Mico, or whichever app you used. Choose Widget Style: Tap the app and then select the specific widget style or size you want to add. Most apps offer a few different options, from small icons to larger displays. Drag and Drop (or Tap): You can tap to add it or sometimes drag it into place. Play around with the positions to see what looks best! Done! Tap the "Done" button in the top right, and then tap your lock screen again to apply the changes. Voila! Your cute, custom iOS lock screen widget is now live. Beyond the custom GIF widgets and interactive distance trackers, which are amazing for adding a personal touch like "merry x-mas" or showing how far you are from a loved one, have you thought about other practical yet aesthetic widgets? I’ve found some really helpful ones that go beyond just decor: Countdown Widgets: Perfect for upcoming holidays, birthdays, or even just a fun weekend trip. Imagine having a little iphone countdown widget home screen counting down to "HAPPY DAYS" or "Merry Christmas"! It adds such a joyful anticipation to my day. Daily Steps Tracker: If you’re trying to stay active, a subtle daily steps lock screen widget can be a great, gentle reminder without cluttering your home screen. It’s motivating without being intrusive. Personalized Text: I love using these to put my favorite quotes, affirmations, or even just a simple "hello beautiful" to greet myself every time I pick up my phone. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference to my mood. And what about making everything cohesive? Your widgets shouldn't just float there; they should complement your wallpaper! When I created my winter-themed wallpaper with bunnies, I made sure my Handy widget also had a festive merry x-mas message, creating a truly unified iphone lock screen widgets aesthetic setup. For a more sophisticated vibe, you could pair the iScreen app distance widget, perhaps with a background like the Tokyo Tower, to create a travel-inspired theme. Or, if you’re into vintage aesthetics, a simple Mico widget with a vintage camera overlay wallpaper can look incredibly chic. Matching colors and styles between your wallpaper and cute widget pics makes all the difference! My final pro-tip: don't be afraid to experiment! The beauty of these apps is how easily you can change things up. If one cute widget doesn't quite fit, swap it out. Pinterest is an endless source of inspiration for aesthetic iPhone home screen pastel widgets and general lock screen ideas. You can even search for specific cute widget pictures to get ideas for your own designs. Remember, your iPhone is an extension of your personality, so have fun making it perfectly yours! What cute widgets for iPhone lock screen are you excited to try first?
