💅 Nail lovers, I need your help!
I’m trying to give my natural nails a break and want to switch to the healthiest fake nail options out there. Press-ons? Soft gel? Something else? 🤔
Also — which brand is the EASIEST to apply at home (especially if you’re not a pro)? I want cute nails without damaging my real ones or spending hours fixing mistakes 😅
👉 What do you swear by?
👉 Which brands stay on but come off gently?
👉 Any that are beginner-friendly and actually look good?
As someone who’s recently made the switch to healthier fake nails, I know how tricky it can be to find options that actually protect your natural nails while giving you great style. From my experience, press-ons are fantastic for beginners because they're super easy to apply and remove without causing damage. Look for press-ons that come with a no-damage adhesive or use a non-acetone remover, which helps your nails stay strong. Soft gel nails are another step up if you want something more natural-looking and flexible, but they often require a UV lamp and a bit more practice to apply correctly at home. Brands like Base Coat and Kiara Sky have user-friendly kits that newbies praise for being simple to use and long-lasting. When choosing brands, focus on those that offer gentle removal solutions, so you’re not peeling or damaging your nail bed. Also, try to keep application time under 30 minutes to avoid mistakes and nail damage. I always recommend prepping your nails properly—clean, buff lightly, and apply a nourishing base coat before fake nails. Lastly, don’t underestimate the power of short, natural-shaped nails combined with subtle or clear enhancements for a healthy, cute look. Remember, your natural nail health is key, so taking a break and using hydration treatments like cuticle oils between applications can make a huge difference. I highly reccomend stickers I think they have them at Ulta or Walmart, basically you just stick em on, trim them and use a up light to cure them, then use a file to take off the excess. Peels off easy and painless💕
