Desk set-up update! 🍋
Hello! Here are some updated photos of my desk setup. When I was just starting as a content creator, I often shared desk photos. There were some changes and I re-organized some of my stuff. Aside from studying, this is where I spend most of my time designing, creating, and editing content.
You know that feeling when your workspace is completely overwhelmed? I used to stare at my cluttered office desk and feel instantly drained before even starting work or studying. It was a chaotic mess of papers, pens, chargers, and forgotten knick-knacks, definitely not the organized study desk with laptop and notebook I envisioned. I desperately wanted an aesthetic pegboard desk setup that also boosted my productivity aesthetic, especially since my desk doubles as my creative hub for content creation. My journey to an organized small desk aesthetic wasn't overnight, but it started with one crucial step: ruthless decluttering. Seriously, go through everything! If you haven't used it in months, or it doesn't serve a clear purpose or spark joy, it's probably contributing to a cluttered table. Once I cleared the excess, I could actually see the potential of my space. Then came the fun part: smart storage. For anyone dealing with a cluttered work desk, vertical space is your best friend. My pegboard has been a game-changer. I hang my headphones, a small plant, and even a few frequently used stationery items. This keeps my desktop clear. I also invested in some cute pastel box crates and a patterned stationery pouch to hide the less aesthetically pleasing items like chargers, extra pens, and random bits. A label maker has also been surprisingly effective for categorizing cords and small items, making it easy to find what I need without rummaging. Next, I tackled my tech. My MacBook Pro on a stand not only improves ergonomics but also frees up valuable desk space underneath. Proper cable management is essential for a clean computer aesthetic. I used simple cable ties and adhesive clips to tuck away unsightly wires from my mechanical keyboard and monitor. My Logitech mouse and iPad mini also have designated spots, ensuring they're always accessible but never adding to a cluttered workplace. Keeping a monthly calendar nearby helps me stay on track without needing to open countless tabs on my computer. Finally, it was about adding personal touches without inviting new clutter. A small plant, a nice pen holder, and a few chosen journals add to the aesthetic without overwhelming the minimal feel. The goal was an organized desk aesthetic minimal enough to feel calm, but still inspiring. Since making these changes, my focus has improved dramatically. I no longer waste time searching for things; everything has its place. This organized environment has truly transformed my study sessions and content creation process, proving that a well-thought-out desk setup is an investment in your overall well-being and productivity.
