Is Muji Hotel in Shenzhen worth your money? 🏨

First ever @Stuffingmycheeks hotel review!

𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘂𝗷𝗶 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗵𝗲𝗻 Muji Hotel

I have always wanted to stay at 𝑴𝒖𝒋𝒊 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍 during my trips to Japan but couldn’t bring myself to book my stay there due to the steep price points. Fortunately, I found out that they have a hotel in Shenzhen and decided to book a night there.

First impressions — the hotel interior and vibes are very similar to their hotels in Japan, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable when we got there. As we reached there earlier than our check-in time, the staff kindly helped to store our bags away and gave us some complimentary coupons for us to chill at their cafeteria as they prepared our room. The voucher came with a choice of tea or soft serve and we got some milk soft serve which was really yummy! Our rooms were ready within 20 minutes so we scored an early check-in in the end too!

Our stay also came with a complimentary breakfast and lunch set for 1 pax, where my partner and I took turns to try their breakfast and lunch set. The meals were very hearty and I secretly wished that we booked a few more nights to stay in the hotel.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬:

- Cheaper than other Muji hotels in the world

- Toilet with a door and the sink inside the toilet (Rare in China & really important to me!)

- Right next to the beautiful Upper Hills Mall (amazing views, food, next to the park)

- Amazing service (complimentary eye masks & essential oil upon requests, drinks, snacks, breakfasts, lunch voucher)

- Beautiful Muji design

- I loved the CD player playing Muji background music

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬:

- A bit hard to get in & out during peak hour traffic (think Midvalley JB)

- A distance away from downtown Shenzhen

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥:

11/10 would stay again, wish I stayed longer

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞:

$155 per night for 2 pax

... Read moreIf you’re a business traveler who values convenience and work-friendly amenities, Muji Hotel Shenzhen offers a quiet and comfortable environment with reliable service, making it a good option. Although it’s a bit away from downtown Shenzhen, the nearby Upper Hills Mall provides great dining and views for when you want to unwind after work. For pet owners interested in hotels in Japan, some popular parent brands known for pet-friendliness include: 1. Hotel Mystays: - Pros: Many locations allow pets, offer pet amenities, and have spacious rooms. - Cons: Pet policies vary by location, and extra fees may apply. 2. Comfort Hotel: - Pros: Welcomes small dogs with no additional charge and provides pet beds. - Cons: Limited to smaller dogs and specific hotels. 3. APA Hotel: - Pros: Some branches are pet-friendly, trendy design. - Cons: Not all hotels accept pets, and pet facilities may be basic. These hotels balance comfort and convenience but always check specific pet policies in advance. Staying at Muji Hotel Shenzhen itself doesn't cater specifically to pets, but its welcoming service and peaceful atmosphere translate well to a relaxing stay, whether on business or leisure.
