We tried some food trucks along the beach that served 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞 (𝐄𝐮𝐦𝐨𝐤) and Korean sandwiches that were a bit too loaded with ketchup.
We tried the 송정동핫도그(본점) or Songjeong-dong Hotdog (Main Branch) and really loved the ramen corndog which was laden with addictive msg powder. The green pepper mayo also paired really nicely with the corndog too.
𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐲𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐃𝐰𝐚𝐞𝐣𝐢 𝐆𝐮𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐩 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐣𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 (수변최고돼지국밥 송정직영점) is known for serving pork rice broth, which is a Busan speciality. We got the original and pork jowl version and preferred the fatty pork jowl version. We were quite impressed by this random find as we were just looking for a random local place to eat.
Our second favourite meal is at 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐦𝐲𝐞𝐨𝐧, located opposite Busan Station. Packed with locals slurping their bowl of noodles, it is no wonder the restaurant’s businesss was good! The bibim naengmyeon (dry cold noodles) is refreshing to have in this hot summer and the sauce itself has a good balance of tangy and spicy flavours. I highly recommend their pork mandu (dumplings) to pair with your noodles too.
I also visited the 𝐇𝐚𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 which was bustling with so much good food like Hotteok, Eumok & Seafood Pancake! Obviously I had to join the stalls with long queues, and I’m glad I did! Feel free to scroll through my photos for more details on the stalls I tried.

The ramen corndog from Songjeong-dong Hotdog is a revelation. The crispy fried exterior, combined with chewy ramen noodles and a generous sprinkle of MSG powder, creates an addictive taste. Pairing it with green pepper mayo adds a subtle kick that beautifully complements the dish. This unique snack represents how innovation meets tradition among Busan’s street food vendors.
For those seeking a heartier meal, Busan’s pork rice broth, known locally as 돼지국밥 (dwaeji gukbap), is a must-try. Subyeon Choego Dwaeji Gukbap’s variation featuring fatty pork jowl is especially rich and satisfying, ideal for anyone interested in authentic local flavors. This dish is widely loved among locals and provides comfort through its savory, meaty broth and tender pork pieces.
Another highlight is Choryang Milmyeon’s bibim naengmyeon, a cold noodle dish perfect for hot summer days in Busan. The sauce’s balanced tangy and spicy flavors refresh and awaken the palate. Don’t miss their pork mandu (dumplings), which add a perfect contrast in texture and flavor.
