Free! Template plans 2026 the "practical" way, not just writing.
# Welcome 2026I've set a long New Year goal, but by February I can't remember. 😂
We used to, too! Write 20 goals. Very full. And then...Forget it all 555
Not because we are lazy, but because there is no support for the target.
Statistics from the U.S. News & World Report say that 80% of people give up their New Year goal within the first two months. Sounds brutal, right? But we have a solution. 💡
💪 This template is based on real science principles.
We included it from four main ideas with research to support 👇.
Atomic Habits - The system always wins goals (James Clear)
Just not aiming. There must be "small habits" that make us progress little by little.
The ONE Thing - Focus 3 Only (Gary Keller)
The more goals, the more concentration spread → use the "3 biggest goals in life this year" rule.
OKR - Measure it clearly (the way Google uses it)
Without metrics, we wouldn't know if we were on the right track.
Implementation Intentions - Think Ahead (Peter Gollwitzer)
People who plan "if X is born and will do Y" are 2-3 times more likely to succeed than the average person!
⚡ Quick Start: Just start 15 minutes, enough!
Don't think a lot. Let's try it lightly first.
Just fill in the first three pages (5 minutes per page):
✅ Page 1 - Vision: How I Want to See Our Lives This Year
✅ Page 2 - Goals: Our 3 Big Goals
✅ Page 3 - People: Find a "check-in friend" (ask-cheer)
It's only 15 minutes, but it's almost 9 times the chance of success!
(From the ASTD study on accountability partners)
🎯 5 steps for this year's goal of "no getting out of hand" to begin!
Step 1: Set the Vision (Vision)
People who imagine specific success have 40% higher motivation (Journal of Applied Psychology)
→ Write down this year's big picture exactly how it will feel at the end of the year.
Step 2: Choose only three main goals.
According to Stanford researchers - people who focus on only 3 big goals often accomplish ten more than those set!
Step 3: System > Motivation
James Clear says, "People with clear systems are three times more successful than people with pure inspiration."
→ Create small daily habits that support goals instead of waiting for inspiration, such as listening to the morning news, taking notes, journals, etc.
Step 4: Find an Accountability Buddy to be our girlfriend, best friend, or community, because someone concluded from the ATD training association:
Aim quietly alone = approximately 10% chance of success
Let people know = up to about 60%.
If you have an appointment to check in with a friend periodically = your chances of success have increased many times! 🫶
Step 5: Check progress every month
"What measures, we can handle it" - research from the British Journal of Health Psychology
→ Write down every month where the target is. Adjust fast. Don't get lost.
🎁 Why does this template work more than ever?
✅ based on habits and goal-setting principles and research.
✅ do it in the first 15 minutes - fits people who want to start lightly but with a frame.
✅ focus on three big goals, not letting our powers be divided.
✅ have friends checking in. Research says it improves your chances of success.
✅ measurable. There are boxes to write down and check in every month.
💌 for our example, 2026 has one word to call this year "Foundation - The Year of Foundation" because we really want to focus on three important things: building Product Manager skills from real jobs, making tangible portfolios, and starting to make your own small income. 🤍
That's it, we've designed an action plan + built a system + found people to help us!!
Friends can ask themselves, "What is the only word of our year 2026?"
If you can imagine... this year could be a quiet but powerful life-changing year for friends. 🌱✨
