Grief Sucks 😐

I think I’m gonna use this , completely differently then I use my other platforms since it seems so different.

So I’ll be vulnerable,

In April I lost my mom , and this whole grieving process has been absolutely devastating. It’s coming up on a year a she passed around my birthday so I’m tryna still be excited for it but it’s hard.

A lot of days I be good , but then randomly I’ll be in a pit , and cry and be ready to just shut everything down and out. I would call her everyday since the day I moved out and went to college. And now I feel like I gotta relearn Everything , even myself without her. I know she’s here spirit but it doesn’t make the pain go away.

Sometimes I just dk what to do 🥺😐🙁 #griefjourney

... Read moreGrief is an intensely personal journey, and understanding its stages can provide insight into your emotions. The Kübler-Ross model outlines five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Navigating through these stages can be challenging, and it's perfectly normal to oscillate between them. It’s important to allow yourself to feel each emotion fully, without judgment, as this is a crucial part of the healing process. Connecting with support groups, whether in-person or online, can significantly help. Engaging with others who are experiencing similar feelings can foster a sense of community and understanding. Remember that it’s okay to seek professional help; therapy can provide tools to cope with overwhelming emotions. Journaling your experiences may also offer you a way to express your feelings and reflect on your journey. Remember, it’s essential to take care of yourself during this time. Self-care practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and spending time in nature can help ease negative emotions. Additionally, commemorating your loved one through memory-making activities, such as creating a scrapbook or lighting a candle in their honor, can provide comfort. Ultimately, it's about finding your path through grief and allowing space for healing. You are not alone in this process; many are navigating similar feelings and experiences, and together, we can find ways to honor our lost loved ones while moving forward with our lives.
