Granola cereal is not only delicious but also offers numerous health benefits. Oats, the main ingredient, are rich in fiber, which helps maintain digestive health and keeps you feeling full longer. Cinnamon adds flavor and has been linked to lowering blood sugar levels. Agave provides a natural sweetness without spiking blood sugar. When baking granola, ensuring an even layer on the baking sheet allows for better crisping. You may experiment with different nuts like almonds and pistachios, both of which provide healthy fats and protein. Consider adding some seeds like chia or flaxseeds for added nutrition. Once baked and cooled, granola can be stored in an airtight container for weeks, making it an excellent meal prep option. Top your granola with fresh fruits like strawberries and blueberries for a burst of flavor and added antioxidants. For an extra indulgent touch, add a scoop of peanut butter or yogurt. Granola is versatile and can serve as a snack on its own or a base for smoothie bowls, ensuring a tasty and healthy breakfast choice.
