throwback to the night before meeting my babies 🥹🤍
was I ready? yes.. calm? absolutely not 😂 twin mamas, were you this nervous before your c-section too?
As a twin mom preparing for a c-section at 38 weeks, I can truly relate to the mixed emotions of excitement and nervousness. The night before the surgery felt surreal—on one hand, I was calm and mentally ready, but on the other, my heart raced with anxiety about the procedure and meeting my babies for the first time. Many twin moms share these feelings, and it’s absolutely normal to feel overwhelmed. The unique challenge of carrying twins means additional considerations during pregnancy, and the decision to have a c-section often brings questions and worries about recovery and bonding. From personal experience, I found that focusing on the support from my medical team and family helped ease the anxiety. Preparation was key—packing a hospital bag with essentials for both myself and my twins brought a sense of control. I also took time to meditate and practice deep breathing, which calmed my mind on that restless night. Discussing my fears and expectations with other twin moms gave me reassurance that these feelings are shared. After the c-section, the joy of holding my babies for the first time made every moment of anticipation worthwhile. It’s important to remember that while the surgery is major, the outcome is a beautiful beginning to motherhood with twins. For any twin mom approaching her c-section, know that your feelings are valid, and you are not alone on this journey.
