Finally Deleted My Ex’s Number!

So, I finally deleted my Ex’s number! And have noticed a few things about myself along my journey.

🩷Deleting his number was one of the best weights to be lifted off my shoulders. And I say one because I did find myself crying a few nights ago. I never understood why I did even though I knew ending things was for the better. But then I figured out the reason why. He has a piece of me that I gave him (one that was sentimental to me as a child. However, that will be a story for another time :)). For the longest, as I cried at nights, as I kept dreaming about him, as I wondered how he was doing—I asked myself if I was actually moving on like I wanted to. I couldn’t understand why I was still in pain. But now that I was able to finally feel confident in getting rid of his number instead of just simply giving him a bad contact name and blocking him; it proved to me that I am actually growing! It’s just going to take time🥹

My body has also healed from the relationship! I no longer spot and/or bleed out of nowhere! I feel happy that I can have a peace of mind about having regular periods. And I’ve apologized to my body for staying so long. It was something that stressed me out often and lowered my self esteem.

🩷I guess it’s been…maybe two months (almost three) since we’ve officially split. And today I finally made the big decision to delete his number and a few old photos of him. I say few because I have older photos of him and us together.

The good memories.

The times we didn’t resent each other.

I’ve thought about him, but it’s becoming less and less. I’ve cried, but I know I won’t have to cry all the time anymore. It may seem silly, but I can’t hate him. I never want anything to happen to him. However, I don’t love him like I used to. And that’s okay. I enjoyed him while it lasted. But it’s time I enjoyed myself and grow into the strong, beautiful, and successful person that I want to become. One that doesn’t back down to any man that belittles me and my life.

Moral of my story is…I’m healing. Inside and out. Still healing, but it’s better.

I hope that this journey I’m taking to love myself more can inspire you all! Even if it’s just one person. We’re gonna get through the tough times beautifully😚🫴🏼💕

Many individuals may find themselves trapped in a cycle of emotional turmoil, questioning their self-worth and future. By taking deliberate steps, such as removing contact with an ex, it opens the door to personal growth. It’s important to realize that healing isn’t linear; there will be ups and downs. Engaging in self-love is essential to this journey, as it allows for a deeper understanding of one’s emotions and needs. Creating a routine that emphasizes mental health, such as journaling, meditation, or seeking support from friends and community, can greatly enhance the healing process. Furthermore, understanding that it’s okay to feel sad or miss what was once a comforting relationship is a normal part of recovery. However, with time, clarity often surfaces, allowing individuals to appreciate the past positive memories without dwelling on them. This shift towards self-acceptance and empowerment fosters the ability to move onto new relationships in the future, built on healthier foundations. As you walk through this phase, remember that every step you take, whether small or big, is a mark of your strength and opportunity for transformation. Embracing vulnerability and expressing feelings can resonate with others on a similar path, inspiring collective healing within a community focused on self-care and awareness.
