Did You 🌬️N o t i c e?🍃

Hi there!

My name is Sedonia, and as a fellow girly in her early twenties (we just turned 20 last May 🙈) I can testify to the fact that, y’all…

LIFE IS HARD 😮‍💨

CONFUSING 😵‍💫

DISCOMBOBULATING 🫨

and lowkey kind of discouraging! 🫠

✨🤍 BUT THERE IS HOPE 💪😼

I recently had a life wake up call to the fact that my never ending “to do” list is not a reflection of my capabilities or slack. There is so so many layers to life and society in general that is completely and utterly out of our control and to try and put your big girl pants on and run head first into a tornado of trying to “fix it” (“the world” or “them”) is only going to cause you to loose yourself, loose hope, and ultimately humanity.

YES,

life sucks!

But it’s also…

B E A U T I F U L

✨🌺🌊☁️ 🌬️🍃

We were never designed to consume all of the information the entire world has to offer us. And I don’t mean that life is happier when you remain ignorant (though there is some truth in that “ignorance is bliss” idea).

However,

in the overconsumption of information (of like the ENTIRE WORLD 😵‍💫) we have utterly lost the ability to just…

🌬️n o t i c e.

You woke up again today!

Did you 🌬️n o t i c e?

You took a breath…

Did you f e e l🍃 it?

Your eyes s a w colors,

and your senses p e r c i e v e d the world...

Beautiful things surround you

but they will not b e g~ to be s e e n

and He will not force you

to 🌬️n o t i c e🍃

w a k e up

pay a t t e n t i o n!

d i s t r a c t i o n is your enemy

And f e a r will hunt your soul

When did you f o r g e t?

That the legs that c a r r y you

And the arms that h o l d you up

Were not your ~ o w n

“He will cover you with His feathers

He will shelter you with His wings.

His faithful promises are your armor

And protection…

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,

Nor the arrow that flies in the day…

Though a thousand fall at your side,

and ten thousand at your right hand

it will not touch you.”

may we always choose to notice.

... Read moreLiving in today's fast-paced world often leads us to feel overwhelmed and disconnected. The author’s message highlights a common struggle: overconsumption of information and relentless pressures can dull our ability to truly notice and appreciate the present moment. From a mental health perspective, this disconnection can increase feelings of anxiety and discouragement, especially for young adults like those in their early twenties facing major life transitions. Incorporating mindfulness practices can be a practical way to counteract distraction and fear. Simple daily habits, such as focusing on one breath at a time or pausing to observe colors and sounds around us, nurture a sense of calm and awareness. The Psalm quoted reminds readers that there is spiritual protection and peace available, symbolically sheltering us like feathers and wings. Recognizing that we are supported beyond our own strength can alleviate burdens and renew hope. The phrase from the OCR content, "Justa girly tging to... ticize Staying Present psalm 9," further emphasizes the importance of staying present, a crucial step toward mental and emotional resilience. Noticing small moments—whether a breath of fresh air, a colorful sunset, or the gentle rustle of leaves—can anchor us in gratitude and help us regain humanity in a chaotic world. Moreover, maintaining mental health involves embracing vulnerability and accepting life’s contradictions: it is hard and confusing, yet beautiful; discouraging, yet filled with opportunities for hope and growth. Sharing your journey through writing or poetry, as the author has done, is a powerful form of self-expression and connection with others who may feel similarly. In summary, by learning to "notice" intentionally, cultivating mindfulness, and drawing strength from spiritual or personal beliefs, we can navigate life's complexities with renewed clarity and peace. This approach empowers us not only to survive but to see and cherish the beauty that life continually offers.
