This and that✨🤣
Real talk though I feel when I take too long I think too deep about the way it looks instead of just getting ready. The longer we look in the mirror (for some me, I can speak for all) tend to be more judgmental about myself and do too much, in turn making it more cakey and missing the point of it all.
MAKEUP IS FUN.
That’s what we are taught when we are young. You do it when you have fun! Just to put make up on. Now? I feel weird without makeup. So the past 4 years I haven’t worn foundation, just concealer! I’ve only recently been trying the halo glow, but it’s not even foundation.
I saw a YouTube video once and I now cant find it to tag, but the point she made was using makeup to enhance your features and have fun rather than fully covering her blemishes and freckles.
wow this wasn’t supposed to be so deep, but it was on my heart🩵 anyone else feel like this?
Makeup can be a powerful tool for self-expression, allowing individuals to embrace their unique beauty. As many have experienced, the societal pressure to look perfect can lead to self-criticism. Instead, it's essential to shift the focus from perfection to enjoyment. In recent years, trends like 'no-makeup' makeup have emerged, encouraging people to showcase their natural skin. This approach not only highlights individuality but also promotes skin positivity. Additionally, using products that enhance rather than cover can dramatically change one's makeup routine, reflecting a more minimalist yet artistic approach. Embracing imperfections and celebrating each feature can cultivate a healthier relationship with makeup. Instead of concealing blemishes, consider using sheer foundations or tinted moisturizers that allow for natural skin to shine through. Furthermore, engaging with communities online, such as through hashtags like #grwm (get ready with me) or #makeuproutine, can inspire and empower, showing that makeup is meant to be fun and should not be synonymous with covering flaws. By embracing this mindset, we can collectively redefine beauty standards and foster a culture that appreciates authenticity.
