What are your reasons?
I recently have been wearing a head scarf because of the women in the Bible who have been wearing it. In the Bible a head scarf was a symbol of a woman’s submission to her husband and sign of authority. I wear it sometimes and other times I don’t because I’m getting used to it and want to make sure it is something that I want to really do and having a stronger belief in Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 explains the head covering veil for women. I am still reading if us women as Christians should wear head coverings or not but it is still a beautiful symbol to me. I really wanted to understand and know what are the reasons Muslim women or Christian women wear head coverings and find the deeper meaning. I would love to hear from other women I also noticed that I get more looks when I wear it and judgement which makes me sad for how our society is and how they treat women who wear the veil.
