Lip Gloss 101 💋

💄one thing about me, I loveeeee a good lip!

💄 I was actually straightening out my bag and noticed I had so many lip glosses

💄 my favorite, still remains the elf lip oil, Fenty lipgloss, and I absolutely love the EADEM line.

💄Remedy by Ari & Kylie are also really good and I love how smooth it goes on

💄 beauty supply lip, gloss, will never not be a staple in my household! It's affordable and definitely gets the job done.

💄Topicals to me, can be kind of sticky, but other than that, I like it.

💄 I will never go anywhere without my Vaseline or Carmex. Lol

still working on learning makeup, but if nothing else, I'll definitely always have the lips down pack!

... Read moreHey everyone! You know how much I adore a good lip, and after straightening out my bag and realizing just how many lip glosses I've collected, I felt inspired to share a deeper dive into the wonderful world of lip glosses. It's not just about one product; there's a whole universe of 'types of lip glosses' out there, and having a 'lip gloss guide' can really help you find your perfect match for any occasion, or just for everyday wear. In my journey, I've found that understanding the different categories makes all the difference. For example, Lip Oils have become a huge favorite of mine. They offer that gorgeous glossy shine but with the added benefit of deep hydration, often leaving your lips feeling softer even after the shine fades. My go-to is definitely the elf lip oil – it's super affordable and does wonders for keeping my lips moisturized without feeling sticky. I've also heard amazing things about the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (mentioned in my flat lay!), which, while not strictly a gloss, offers that nourishing, smooth feel that some lip oils provide. Then there are your classic High-Shine Glosses. These are all about that undeniable, mirror-like finish that makes your lips look fuller and more luscious. Fenty lip gloss is a prime example of this; it gives such an incredible, non-sticky shine that truly elevates any look. These are perfect for when you want to make a statement or just add a touch of glamour. And let's not forget the sheer magic of a good old beauty supply lip gloss – they never disappoint when it comes to delivering that classic shine on a budget! For those who love a hint of color, Tinted Lip Glosses are fantastic. Products like EADEM and Kylie Skin (which I've also been exploring!) offer beautiful pigments alongside that glossy finish. They're perfect for adding a subtle flush of color for a natural look, or building up for a more vibrant pout without the heavy feel of a lipstick. It's like a two-in-one deal: color and shine! And we can't forget about Plumping Glosses. While I mentioned Fenty for its shine, some glosses are specifically formulated to give a temporary plumping effect with ingredients like peppermint oil or hyaluronic acid. If you're looking to enhance your pout without anything drastic, these types of glosses are a fun way to experiment. Remedy by Ari is another great one I've tried, offering a smooth application and a lovely finish. Finally, for everyday essentials and lip health, I always rely on Hydrating Balms with a Glossy Finish or protective treatments. My Vaseline and Carmex are absolute must-haves – I literally won't leave the house without them! They might not be 'glosses' in the traditional sense, but the petroleum jelly in Vaseline provides an amazing protective barrier and a subtle sheen. Brands like Summer Fridays and Tree Hut (which also appeared in my flat lay) also offer wonderful lip balms that provide both moisture and a pretty, natural gloss. Even Topicals, though sometimes a bit sticky for my preference, offers great reparative benefits. When it comes to choosing your lip gloss, think about what you want it to *do*. Do you need intense hydration? A super high shine? A touch of color? Or a blend of everything? Don't be afraid to mix and match! Layer a clear gloss over a matte lipstick, or wear a tinted oil on its own for a casual vibe. You can find incredible options at places like Ulta Beauty, which often has sales on both high-end and affordable brands. Ultimately, a good lip gloss isn't just about looking good; it's about feeling good and keeping your lips healthy. Finding your favorite types and building your own personal collection is part of the fun. I'm still learning new makeup tricks, but one thing is for sure: my lips will always be on point thanks to my trusty glosses!
