Wednesday Addams is blonde 🥰
Hey everyone! I've always been a huge fan of Wednesday Addams, but I wanted to put my own unique spin on her classic, gothic look. You know her signature dark braids, right? Well, I decided to challenge that and create a blonde Wednesday Addams! It was such a fun and creative project, and I'm so excited to share my transformation with you all. I really focused on keeping her iconic essence while adding a fresh, unexpected twist with my curly blonde hair. First up, the outfit! Getting Wednesday's style right is all about those sharp, structured pieces. I found this amazing striped suit jacket that immediately gave me those Nevermore Academy vibes. Paired with a crisp white shirt and a sleek black tie, it felt perfectly Wednesday, even with the blonde hair. I added a subtle silver chain as an accessory, which I felt added a little detail without taking away from the overall minimalist, yet striking, aesthetic. It's amazing how these classic pieces can instantly transform you into character. Then came the hair and makeup. The goal was to make the blonde Wednesday girl still feel authentic to her character. For the hair, I opted for short, neat curls to give it that structured but slightly playful feel. I wanted my curly blonde hair to look intentional, not just a wig! For the makeup, I focused on creating those striking eyes – a key part of her look, regardless of hair color. It's all about a strong liner and a slightly detached gaze to really capture her personality. And let's talk about expressions! This was one of the most interesting parts of embodying Wednesday. She's not exactly known for beaming smiles, is she? I practiced getting that perfect Wednesday Addams subtle smile, which is more of a wry, knowing smirk than a genuine grin. It’s tricky to get right, but it perfectly conveys her dry wit. Then there’s the famous Wednesday Addams expressionless face. It’s not about showing no emotion, but showing controlled emotion – a quiet intensity that speaks volumes. You can see in some of my photos I even tried a slightly puckered face for a different, still very Wednesday, vibe. And yes, I even managed to incorporate a prosthetic hand for some of the shots – you know, to really sell that "Thing" connection! Overall, this blonde Wednesday Addams cosplay was an absolute blast. It showed me that you can always add your personal touch to beloved characters while still honoring their core identity. If you're thinking of doing a cosplay and want to experiment with a twist, I highly recommend it! It really pushes your creativity. What do you all think of my blonde transformation? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
