My partner in crime and I love a scary movie, but this was not one of those nights. The Monkey, James Wan's newest movie, is an adaptation of Steven King’s Skeleton Crew, in which a man is passed down an evil monkey toy from his father that kills when played with.
⭐️Overall rating: 6/10: The movie had funny elements, but in my opinion, I couldn’t decide if it was a comedy or a horror movie. Switching back and forth too often took away from the movie. However, I love the use of practical effects when setting up some of the scenes—it's very old-school movie magic.
