📚 July 17th — Verbatim Books in the Park Til Dark✨
Clocked out of work, got ready in a blur, grabbed snacks with my friend Ali, and headed straight to Bird Park for Verbatim’s book event. First time going and I was so caught up in the excitement I completely forgot to take pics or videos 🫣
We swapped:
🔁 The Return of Ellie Black by Emily Jean
🔁 The Tenant by Freida McFadden
And found:
📖 As Old As Time by Liz Braswell
📖 It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
The turnout was amazing, the weather was perfect, and I couldn’t concentrate on reading because I kept whispering to Ali things like:
“she’s reading Jaws!”
“ooo Funny Story by Emily Henry—I want to read that one!”
“that guy totally looks like a villainous MMC…”
I’ll definitely be back for the next one—Verbatim hosts these every third Thursday of the month. Might bring a chair next time though. My back said “never again.” 😂
