Coffee spills, grease splatters, tomato sauce explosions – you name it, I’ve probably stained it. I was constantly on the lookout for a laundry detergent that could truly stand up to these challenges. That's when I decided to give Arm & Hammer plus OxiClean laundry detergent a serious test. The bottle proudly proclaims 'concentrated with 3X stain fighters' and 'designed to clean all food stains.' Of course, I was skeptical. Every detergent claims to be powerful, but how many actually deliver, especially on those really set-in marks? My first target was a beloved white t-shirt that had fallen victim to a pesto accident. I usually dread these kinds of stains. Following the instructions, I pre-treated the stain directly with a small amount of the detergent before tossing it into the wash with the recommended amount for a full load. I was impressed by the fresh scent – it wasn't overpowering, which is a big plus for me. After the cycle, I pulled out the t-shirt, and to my genuine surprise, the pesto stain was completely gone! Not even a faint shadow remained. Next up was a notoriously difficult challenge: a grease stain on a denim apron. This one had been there for a while, so I didn't have high hopes. Again, I pre-treated it and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes before washing. While it didn't completely vanish (grease can be incredibly stubborn!), it significantly lightened, making it much less noticeable. I think with a fresh grease stain, it would have been a goner. I’ve also used this detergent on everyday food spills like juice, chocolate, and gravy, and it has consistently performed well. The '3X stain fighters' claim seems to hold true for most common food-related messes. It’s fantastic to finally have a go-to product that I can trust to tackle these common laundry nightmares. The large 138 FL OZ size also means I’m not constantly running to the store, which is super convenient. My advice for getting the best results? Always try to tackle stains as soon as possible. If you can, pre-treat stubborn spots directly with the detergent and let it sit for a bit before washing. This really boosts its effectiveness. Overall, if you’re battling food stains, I highly recommend giving Arm & Hammer plus OxiClean a try. It’s definitely earned a permanent spot in my laundry routine!
