My fav pages in my sketchbook PT 2

This is the second part of some of my favorite pages in my sketchbook. This thing has been practically everywhere with me…yes I was that kid when I was younger that brought their sketchbook to family gatherings and hangouts.

I love art and hopefully I can make a career out of it one day, but for now I will just show my favorite pages in my sketchbook.

... Read moreIt's so much fun to fill a sketchbook, isn't it? Every page tells a story, and I love seeing how my style evolves. If you're looking for some inspiration to get your own sketchbook chunky and full of exciting art, let me share some of my go-to methods and thoughts behind these pages. For me, a big part of the fun is creating dream outfit drawings. I often find ideas in historical fashion – like that Renaissance-style dress from my pages – or current trends. When I'm sketching a prom dress or any elaborate gown, I really focus on the details: the way mesh, beads, and jewels would catch the light, or how different fabrics drape. I aim to make these detailed dress drawings feel almost real, even if they're just on paper. Sometimes I imagine putting them on my favorite original characters to see how they’d look! Speaking of original characters, dedicating oc sketchbook pages to them is incredibly rewarding. It's not just about drawing them, but about exploring their personality. I often do full-body figures in various poses, experiment with accessories like stars and leaves, or even draw little background elements that reflect their world. You’ll find head sketches and expressions are key to bringing them to life. It’s like creating a mini-story on each page. I love a chunky sketchbook – one that’s been well-loved and used. Don’t be afraid to have in and out pages sketchbook where some are super detailed and others are just quick doodles or sticker study ideas, like the cat head or abstract shapes I sometimes include. It shows your process! These quick sketches and rough ideas are just as valuable as the polished ones, and they’re great sketchbook ideas for when you're feeling a bit stuck. I occasionally even try a torn dress drawing idea just to explore textures and storytelling, even if it's not directly in my current pages. Making cute sketchbook pages can be as simple as adding small decorative elements, or even using a fun background like the strawberries in the intro image for a photo. It’s about making the entire experience enjoyable for you. And if you're ever wondering "how is this?" or "what u think about this," sharing your art, even just within a small community, can be incredibly motivating. It helps you see your work with fresh eyes and get constructive feedback. Ultimately, my sketchbook isn't just a place for random drawings; it’s becoming a living portfolio file of my work. Each page represents a step in my journey, a new skill learned, or a character brought to life. I hope these insights help you fill your own sketchbook with passion and creativity!
