HELP! What are your morning routines??

This year I’ve committed to being a better version of myself. Drinking more water 💦 exercising 💪🏻 devotions/journaling 🙏. Ya know, all the things I say I’m going to do every year.

The difference this year is, instead of jumping in head first and completely changing everything about my lifestyle all at once ((that usually lasts maybe 2 weeks before my new routines fall apart)). I decided to take a more laid back approach.

And guess what?! I’m no longer over sleeping in the mornings. I’ve tried to be mindful of having a better bedtime routine and consistently going to bed around the same time. I’m like a child 👧 I have to give myself a bedtime because I would go to bed between 2-3:00 am EVERY night. Then turn around and have to clock in at 7 am. 😴

I was tired, but my body just wouldn’t let me go to sleep at night. I would always get that boost of energy in the late hours. I have been a night owl my whole life and the mornings have never been easy for me.

But this morning, I woke up on my own. No alarms, no snooze and 1 hour before I have to clock in (I work from home). But when I woke up and actually got out of bed, it was like I didn’t know what to do with myself. I started going through all the things I say I’d like to do in the mornings before clocking in but nothing was cohesive. Really with that full extra hour before work, I didn’t get anything done that I don’t normally do. I did get in a quick morning Yoga stretch routine and some kitty cuddles but I could have slept that extra hour and got those later 😂
