Christmas Sugar Cookie Recipe

Classic Sugar Cookie Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 cup butter, softened

- 1 cup sugar

- 1 egg

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/2 tsp salt

*optional*

- Sanding sugar

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add in the egg and vanilla and mix until smooth.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

4. Fold in the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.

5. Roll the dough into balls and then roll into sanding sugar if desired.

6. Bake on 350°F for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Enjoy!
