You CAN hear God’s voice
You DO hear Gods voice. You just may not recognize it. Reading your Bible is FUNDAMENTAL to helping you hear him and cultivating a relationship with him. God wants you to hear him for yourself and KNOW when he is speaking to you. Reading the Bible is the foundation for that. 🫶🏾

When I first started my faith journey, I often wondered, 'How do people really hear God's voice?' It felt like something reserved for others – preachers, pastors, apostles. I wanted so badly to know Him personally, to hear His guidance directly, but it seemed so elusive. I realize now that God wants to speak to everyone, and He's always speaking; we just need to learn how to listen and recognize His communication. My biggest breakthrough came when I truly committed to reading my Bible daily. The original article rightly points out that scripture is absolutely fundamental. Think of it this way: the Bible is God's written love letter and instruction manual to us. The more you immerse yourself in His Word, the more you understand His character, His heart, and His ways. This foundational knowledge allows you to recognize His voice when it comes in other forms, because you'll know if it aligns with what He has already revealed. It's like building a relationship with a close friend; the more you talk and spend time together, the easier it is to know their voice even in a crowded room. But God's voice isn't limited to the pages of the Bible, though that's where we anchor our truth. I've learned to hear Him through various other avenues as well. One crucial way is through prayer – not just talking to Him, but actively setting aside time to *listen*. Sometimes it's a quiet prompting, a sense of peace about a decision, or a gentle nudge in a certain direction. These 'whispers' are often how the Holy Spirit communicates with us, helping us discern His will. He also speaks through creation. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the beauty of a sunset or the majesty of mountains? For me, these moments often bring a profound sense of God's presence and power, reminding me of His faithfulness and love. Similarly, God can use other people in our lives – whether it's a wise friend, a sermon from a trusted preacher, or even an encouraging word from a stranger – to impart wisdom or confirmation. However, it's vital to always test what you hear against the truth of scripture and seek the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. Don't be solely depended on others for your spiritual hearing; cultivate your own direct relationship with Him. Sometimes, God speaks through circumstances. An unexpected door might open, or a path you thought was right might suddenly close. Learning to see God's hand in these situations takes practice and prayerful reflection. It’s about asking, "Lord, what are you saying here? What do you want me to learn?" It's a journey, and we often miss His voice, but that's okay. The key is persistence and a genuine desire to draw closer. God wants to have that deep, intimate relationship with you, and He delights in revealing Himself. Keep seeking, keep reading His Word, keep praying, and keep listening. You will begin to recognize His voice more clearly than you ever thought possible.
