... Read moreFrom personal experience, waiting for the 'right time' often leads to missed opportunities and unnecessary regrets. Many overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Singapore and other parts of the world can relate to the struggle of timing decisions perfectly—whether it's about career moves, sending money home, or pursuing personal goals. One piece of advice I've found invaluable is to act with intention rather than wait passively. The phrase 'So much is lost in waiting for the right time' resonates deeply because life rarely offers clear-cut perfect moments. Taking informed risks and making decisions based on current circumstances often lead to growth and unexpected rewards. For OFWs, this can mean choosing to upgrade skills now rather than later, starting a side business despite uncertainties, or even reconnecting with family through available means without postponement. The challenges of working abroad are already demanding, and adding the weight of waiting can diminish your momentum. In essence, while planning is crucial, balancing it with action prevents the loss that silent hesitation brings. Trusting your instincts and seizing present opportunities fosters resilience and progress, essential traits for every OFW navigating their unique journey abroad.
