Life after break up (HIKING)
Again??? 🤣
Yea, I told myself, “Again?” — “Table for one, please.”
I tried to fit my feet into shoes that were too small, and in the end, they only hurt me. I couldn’t stay in them any longer. Sometimes, the best thing to do is buy a new pair of shoes.
That’s exactly what happens when you sacrifice too much of yourself for love. Fall in love, but don’t be foolish. 🙂
I won’t go deeper into my breakup story today. Instead, I’d like to share my first hiking experience at Bukit Timah.
The trail itself wasn’t that long, but wow... the slope was no joke. 🤣 My face was red, my legs were questioning all my life choices, and I kept wondering how much further the summit was.
But somewhere along the way, I realized something.
Healing is a lot like hiking.
You don’t need to rush to the top. You just need to keep moving, one step at a time. Some parts will be steep, some parts will make you want to turn back, but eventually you'll reach a point where you can look back and see how far you've come.
Life after a breakup doesn’t have to be about finding someone new immediately. Sometimes it’s about finding yourself again.
And honestly? The fresh air, the greenery, and the challenge of the climb felt a lot better than sitting at home overthinking. 🤣
So if your heart is tired, maybe don't chase people. Go chase a mountain instead. ⛰️❤️
