Yoga for weightloss day 2
So I’m going to document my weight loss journey and go into a little bit more details about how I got here BUT that’s not what this point is.
This post is just about day 2 of the series I’m doing.
So I realized today that this is a Vinyasa flow (I kind of realized it yesterday but brushed it off because it’s beginner-friendly).
I typically don’t enjoy Vinyasa. I think I probably like every style of yoga but Vinyasa. But as I was practicing, I had to ask myself, why don’t I like it. Is it because I find it more challenging than other styles? Is it because it’s bringing up some feelings or emotions I don’t want to deal with?
Not sure, but I made a commitment and I’m sticking to it. And who knows? I may be in love with Vinyasa by the end of the 30 days!
By the way, this is an old pic after baby number 1. I was 2 months post-partum in this pic. Too busy or lazy to take a new pic today. Current pics soon to come!
Yoga can be an incredible ally in your weight loss journey, especially styles like Vinyasa. This dynamic, flowing style helps build strength and flexibility while also providing a significant cardiovascular workout. Beginners often appreciate that Vinyasa classes blend poses seamlessly, promoting stamina and a meditative quality that can enhance your mental health. Incorporating Vinyasa flow can also aid muscle toning and improve overall body awareness, making it an excellent choice for those embarking on a fitness journey. Many practitioners find that regular practice not only aids in physical transformation but also fosters emotional growth and resilience, perfect for navigating challenges during weight loss. As you explore your yoga path, consider setting personal goals, staying mindful of your body’s responses, and sharing your experiences within the community to stay motivated. Participating in group classes can foster accountability and support, helping to sustain your commitment over the long term. Regardless of where you start, every drop of sweat and breath taken on the mat counts towards your progress! Don't forget to listen to your body, celebrate small wins, and enjoy the journey of becoming a healthier you.
