February meal plan
Next month I need to focus on EATING WHAT I ALREADY HAVE! I have a pantry and two freezers full of stuff! I don’t even know what’s in our deep freezer. I promise I’m not a hoarder….at least not as extreme as the one’s on tv lol
So next month, I’m not buying anything other than fresh produce and will be making meals out of what we already have.
This shall be fun! Let’s see how creative I can get :-)
Oh, this goes for supplements too. Not buying anymore supplements until I finish what I have.
Anyone else in (or need to be) the same boat?

Many people find themselves with a stocked pantry and freezer, often forgetting what they have inside. By creating a meal plan centered around existing ingredients, you can save money and minimize food waste. This approach not only promotes healthy eating habits but also encourages creativity in the kitchen. Focusing on meal planning is an effective way to take inventory of the food you have. Start by pulling out all your pantry items and freezer foods. Categorize them by type, like grains, canned goods, and frozen proteins. This will give you a clearer idea of what you can use for your meals. For instance, have leftover grains? Pair them with fresh vegetables for a nutritious stir-fry or bowl. Consider incorporating versatile ingredients like oats, which are often underappreciated. You can make a delicious breakfast or use them in healthy snacks. Meal planning can also include preparing meals in batches, so you have options ready throughout the week. Don’t forget to involve family members or friends in your meal planning and cooking—it can be a fun activity that encourages healthy habits for everyone! By committing to using what you have, you can control your food spending, contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle, and create delicious meals with creativity and care. Remember to stay flexible with your plans, as you may discover new combinations you haven't tried before!
