My College Essentials

These are a few items that i found super useful in college.

Laptop: Of course for school you’ll need a laptop but what’s important to remember the brand isn’t important. i know a lot of people who would stress having an apple computer but any kind will work. I have a Lenovo and it works great.

Pencil Case: At the beginning of the year i used a picked in my backpack for stationary which got messy really fast after getting a pencil case it helped me get more organized fast.

Backpack: Get a good backpack. I’ve had my Dakine backpack for 4 years and it holds super well. Also finding a brand that has a good warranty is also a good idea.

3 subject notebook: My school goes by quarters and i usually take three classes a quarter so this notebook worked out really well for me and kept my backpack more organized.

Tennis shoes: GET A GOOD PAIR OF TENNIS SHOES! Even if you don’t go to the gym at school there’s a lot of walking and every now and then you’ll want to wear tennis shoes to class instead your converse or whatever else. I have these hokas and they’ve saved my feet.

Comfy Pants: Sometimes after class it feels nice to change and put on comfy clothes to relax and study. I got these really baggy sweatpants from my school and i love them!

Again these are things that I PERSONALLY recommend however it’s different for everyone. I hope this helps for incoming students! #Lemon8Scrapbook #lemon8challenge #lemon8contest #letschat #lemon8diarychallenge #storytime #collegeessentials #lemon8creator #lemon8education

... Read moreHey everyone! Building on my initial college essentials, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into some items that truly made a difference in my university experience. It's not just about having *stuff*, but having the right stuff that makes daily life and studying so much smoother and less stressful. First, let's talk more about tech. While I mentioned any laptop brand works, thinking about practical aspects is key. Battery life is a game-changer! You don't want to be hunting for outlets between classes, so look for a model that can last. Also, don't forget a sturdy laptop sleeve or a padded compartment in your black backpack to protect your investment from bumps and drops. And speaking from experience, a portable power bank for your phone can be a lifesaver when you're out all day on campus. Now, for that black backpack itself. Beyond just durability (like my Dakine!), look for features that enhance organization. A dedicated, padded laptop sleeve is crucial. Multiple compartments help keep everything from your textbooks to your snacks tidy. I also highly recommend one with a side pocket for a water bottle – staying hydrated during those long campus walks and lectures is a must! Having a designated spot for everything, from your 3-subject notebook to your pencil case, truly helps reduce stress and wasted time searching. Speaking of organization, that 3-subject notebook was a lifesaver for keeping my notes for different classes separate. But to really level up your study game, consider adding a planner – whether it's a physical one or a digital app. It helps track assignments, deadlines, and study sessions. I also found certain stationery indispensable: good quality pens that don't smudge (gel pens are my favorite!), highlighters for important notes, and sticky tabs for textbook referencing. Having a well-stocked pencil case, like the one I showed, means you're always prepared for class, no matter what comes up. And finally, comfort and self-care can't be stressed enough. Those light blue and orange tennis shoes I mentioned? They saved my feet! You'll be walking a lot on campus, often between buildings or to grab food, so investing in supportive footwear is crucial. And after a long day of classes and studying, slipping into those grey sweatpants (or any comfy lounge wear!) is pure bliss. Don't underestimate the power of comfort for your well-being; it helps you relax, recharge, and tackle the next day. Also, a reusable water bottle and some healthy, easy-to-grab snacks in your backpack can prevent those hunger pangs during lengthy lectures. Remember, taking care of yourself is just as important as studying! Ultimately, college is a marathon, not a sprint. Having these practical essentials, from reliable tech to comfortable gear, can significantly improve your daily academic life and overall well-being. What are some of your non-negotiable college items?
